Police abduct Mduduzi Mathuthu's sister

Police have raided the home of journalist  Mathuthu , the editor of leading online paper  zimlive  that has been at the forefront of unearthing corruption and other investigative journalism. He tweeted at exactly 17:01 "Police at my house."   Mathuthu  said the police raided his house, and when they couldn't find him, they gave his sister an ultimatum:  get Mduduzi here, or we will take you.  However, police have taken custody of Nomagugu Mathuthu as a ransom to force Mathuthu to hand himself over to the police. "They took her. She has no journalistic or political bone on her," he said. 

ZBC records first COVID-19 case

Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation has confirmed its first COVID-19 case at Pockets Hill. However, Lunchtime news was streamed live from the balcony at Pockets Hill after one confirmed positive test.  Meanwhile, acting CEO Helliate Rushwaya issued an internal memo informing staff members that normal programming from Pockets Hills for both radio and Television will be affected until further notice. We learned today, Tuesday 28th July 2020, that one of our colleagues has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, COVID-19. The member of staff is based at ZBC Pockets Hill and last reported for duty on 16th July before taking time off. This is obviously worrying news for the individual concerned and we wish them a quick recovery. As per the Ministry of Health and Child Care guidance, we are implementing measures on contact tracing, disinfection, and testing. We would like to notify all staff that as a result of this development, staff on duty will be tested at Pockets Hill on Wednesday 29t

Dr.Stella Emmanuel says there is a cure for Coronavirus.

US-based Nigerian Doctor, Dr.Stella Emmanuel , says there is a cure for Coronavirus. She said she has treated over 350 COVID-19 patients with no casualty. ZANU PF Acting national spokesperson Cde Patrick Chinamasa has warned US Ambassador to Zimbabwe against meddling in the country's affairs.

ZANU PF Acting national spokesperson Cde Patrick Chinamasa has warned US Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr. Brian Nichols, against meddling in the country's affairs.  He said, "Our leaders will not hesitate to give him marching orders."  Cde Patrick Chinamasa said Diplomacy should not behave like thugs. "Brian Nichols is a thug," he said.   He also reminded Mr. Brian that he is not a super diplomat in Zimbabwe.

Pokello Nare Responds to Claims She’s Bleaching Her Skin

Pokello Nare has responded to claims on Twitter, suggesting that she has been bleaching her skin. The self-proclaimed queen of swagger dismissed the rumors by sharing her old pictures.  She claimed that it is very shallow to have the perception that every light-skinned woman Bleached.   "This Bleaching agenda you try and push when it comes to my skin color will Stop," she said. She also said she had learned that when she remains quiet, it gives people the impression to lie about her.

Prof Thuli Madonsela pleaded with the African Union chairperson for the release of Hopewell Chin'ono.

South African advocate, professor of law, ombudsman, and political activist, Prof Thuli Madonsela, has pleaded with the African Union chairperson for the release of Hopewell Chin'ono. "Dear  @_AfricanUnion  Chairperson, President ⁦ @CyrilRamaphosa , please ask President  @edmnangagwa  to release anti-corruption journalist ⁦ #FreeHopewell  Chin’ono," she tweeted .   Prof Thuli is asking President ⁦ CyrilRamaphosa  to persuade President Mnangagwa to release anti-corruption journalist Hopewell Chin’ono. However, Hopewell Chin'ono is facing charges of inciting citizens to "participate in public violence." And he was also denied bail by the Magistrate Courts.

He donated food to the orphanage home with his first Youtube earnings.  AY Poyoo's real name Emmanuel Yeboah is a Ghanaian rapper best known for his viral song Goat.   Meanwhile, an upcoming Zimbabwean artist Van Choga collaborated with Ay Poyoo on a song called Ghetto Rules.  The song was received well by the 2 chanters’ fans, and it has reached more than 200 000 views in two weeks on YouTube.

$300 monthly payouts for a million households.

ONE million households will start receiving $300 monthly payouts as part of the Government’s efforts to cushion people whose sources of income have been affected by Covid-19. "We want this number to rise, and people should come forward and register with the Department of Social Welfare. I think we have about 65 000 households in Matabeleland South that we are targeting with this program,” said Prof Mthuli Ncube.  Addressing a ZANU PF Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) meeting in Gwanda Town, he said, “Those that don’t receive food will be given money. We have said we want to give them $300 per month. That’s what we have in store for now. The figure might rise, but that’s what we have in store for now.”

Pedzisai Ruhanya speaks on Hopwell Chin'ono case. In an interview with SABC, Pedzisai said, the government didn't change, it is only the appearance of the president that changed. He said the removal of the former president was a change of guard, not a change of institutions.  He claimed that the police had no right to search Hopwell's property without the court's order. He also said that Journalism is not a crime. Neither Hopewell and Jacob Ngarivhume are criminals.

People who are obese or overweight are at higher risk of death or severe illness from COVID-19, according to Public Health England.

 According to Public Health England (PHE), people who are obese or overweight are at higher risk of death or severe illness from COVID-19. PHE says that the risk of death increases by 40% for someone with a BMI between 30 and 35 and by 90% for those with a BMI over 40 when compared to those of a healthy weight. "The current evidence is clear that being overweight or obese puts you at greater risk of serious illness or death from  COVID-19 , as well as from many other life-threatening diseases," said Alison Tedstone , the PHE Chief nutritionist.

Pokello morosely addressed news writers to stop using her for attraction to their sites by twisting her narrative. However, Social media has been flooded with various comments from women, denouncing the queen of swagger for her remarks. Unfortunately, people misunderstood what self-proclaimed queen of swagger, Pokello Nare said. In a video, Pokello clearly said she represents Zimbabwean women as they are looked down upon in other countries. "No one reps Zimbabwean Women as hard I do", she said.
